Members of our Bowling Green, Ohio, team were invited to help build a house for Habitat for Humanity of Wood County. What started as a chilly fall day quickly turned into a warm day filled with sunshine, collaboration, and plenty of hammering. Together, seven employees worked safely to install siding on a home for a young mother and her four children.
Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful organization that helps provide safe and affordable places for families to call home. To qualify, applicants must meet several criteria, including maintaining a steady income, completing 200 hours of "sweat equity," and participating in homebuyer education classes. Habitat works alongside homeowners to create a mortgage that fits their income and supports long-term success.
The house our team worked on is projected to be completed in December 2026, when a dedication ceremony will be held to present the keys to the deserving family.
Overall, it was a great day of caring for our community, collaborating as a team, and making a positive impact close to home!
