The Republic of Tajikistan Ratify the Kigali Amendment
The Republic of Tajikistan has become the 136th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
It is estimated that the global implementation of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol will prevent up to 80 billion tonnes of C02 equivalent emissions by 2050. In ratifying the Kigali Amendment, Tajikistan has committed to cutting the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% in the next 30 years.
