The Republic of Djibouti Ratifies the Kigali Amendment
The Republic of Djibouti has become the 157th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
In ratifying the Amendment, Djibouti commits to cut the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% over the next 30 years.
It is hoped that the global acceptance and implementation of the Kigali Amendment will prevent an estimated 80 billion tonnes equivalent emissions by 2050.
