South Korea Ratifies the Kigali Amendment
The Republic of South Korea is the latest country to ratify the Kigali Amendment.
South Korea's ratification brings the total number of countries that have agreed to phasedown the production and consumption of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) by 80% in the next 30 years to 147.
In addition to this, It is hoped that the global implementation of the Amendment will prevent up to 80 billion tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions by 2050.
