India Ratifies the Kigali Agreement
India has been added to the list of over 100 countries that have ratified the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, India will complete its phase down of HFCs from 2032.
The Kigali Agreement, created in 2016, adds HFCs to the list of substances to be phased down under the Montreal Protocol. Those that ratify the agreement commit to cutting the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% over the next 30 years.
