Another State Joins HFC Phase Out Initiative
The Cooling Post - USA: Maryland has joined New York and California in pursuing measures to phase out the use of HFC refrigerants.
After the EPA’s efforts to phase out certain HFCs were abandoned, US states have begun their own phase out initiatives.
According to Maryland, other states amongst the 17 members of the United States Climate Alliance are expected to take similar steps. In addition to California, New York and Maryland, other states in the group are Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.
