A-Gas Prepares for the Portishead Soapbox Race
The A-Gas team have submitted an entry into the Portishead Soapbox Race 2019.
We are privileged to be a participant in this year’s event following our successful entry earlier in the year. Our engineering team have been hard at work building our very own soapbox in time for Sunday 14th July.
Why not join us for an enjoyable day, bring your family and friends, and cheer us on as we guide our self-made soapbox down the 450m action-packed course, whilst negotiating the kickers, chicanes, and ramps.
Starting at 12.30pm on Esplanade Road (with practice runs from 10:00am), the day is sure to be a great one. With a host of other attractions available, from open pit areas, live big screens and a children’s fun fair.
The A-Gas Soapbox Team features some recognisable names from our European Engineering Team, and we plan to bring our "Together We Can" attitude to the event. The team has taken inspiration for the design and build of our soapbox vehicle from their experience with our market-leading 'E Machino', with a few safety and performance modifications. With a bit of luck, we hope to make it down the course in rapid fashion without the need for recovery from the track.
We see the Portishead Soapbox challenge as an ideal way of giving back to the local community, having some fun and supporting a very valuable local charity, St Peters Hospice, who provide an amazing service to terminally ill individuals and their families.
Please support our efforts in this event and donate to this great charity.
