Each year on the 10th of October, the world comes together to recognise World Mental Health Day. It is an important moment to raise awareness, encourage conversation, and remind ourselves that mental well-being is just as vital as physical health.
This year's theme, “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies”, highlights a reality faced by many. During times of crisis, whether caused by natural disasters, conflict, or personal challenges, mental health support is often the first thing people lose access to. Yet it is during those difficult moments that help and understanding are needed most.
Mental health is something that touches everyone. We may not always know what those around us are going through, but by creating supportive environments and normalising open conversations, we can all play a part in reducing stigma and helping people feel less alone.
At A-Gas, we believe that true safety means more than preventing physical harm; our commitment to ensuring Zero Harm extends to mental well-being. We continue to invest in resources, training, and a culture that recognises the importance of mental health, because supporting one another is how we thrive, both at work and in life.
Together, we can build a future where mental health care is accessible to all, wherever and whenever it’s needed.
