Find Small Leaks in HVAC&R Systems Using Trace-A-Gas™
A-Gas New Zealand is pleased to announce the launch of Trace-A-Gas™, a premium leak detection gas that helps refrigeration and air conditioning technicians pinpoint small, difficult-to-find leaks.
Comprising 5% hydrogen and 95% nitrogen, Trace-A-Gas is a non-flammable mixture used with a suitable electronic leak detector.
Hydrogen’s exceptionally small molecular size allows it to pass through very small leak paths, helping technicians locate leaks that may be difficult to identify using nitrogen and leak detection spray alone.
For technicians, this offers a practical solution where applying leak detection spray may be challenging, including around insulated or difficult-to-access pipework.
Finding a leak is the first step towards fixing it. By supporting targeted repairs, Trace-A-Gas helps technicians address refrigerant loss and make leak detection part of effective lifecycle refrigerant management.
