AGAS - Together we can

Sustainability

A-Gas is committed to protecting the environment by effectively managing the lifecycle of refrigerants to build a sustainable future.

Every day, people from all over the world come into contact with what we do.

Refrigerant gas runs through systems that keep our food cold, keep our buildings habitable and, as halon, is even used to protect aircraft in the event of a fire. But have you ever thought about what happens to the used gas when those systems are no longer required?

This is when there is the greatest risk that the gas could be released into the atmosphere, becoming a contributing factor in accelerating global warming. By using our expertise and approach to the lifecycle management of refrigerant gases, A‑Gas reduces this risk.

As the demand for cooling and refrigeration grows, A-Gas is at the forefront of supplying and managing the refrigerants that we rely on in our daily lives; they are critical to the way we live.

For over 30 years, we have been recovering and reclaiming used gases to minimise the amount of virgin product that is created and, at the same time, preventing its release to the atmosphere. When the future reuse of a refrigerant is no longer possible, A-Gas provides customers and partners with a United Nations-approved destruction technology.

What we do at A‑Gas makes a significant contribution to protecting our planet.

Over the last two years alone (2022-2023), when we add all the used refrigerant our expert teams across the globe have recovered, reclaimed or repurposed, its CO2e can be expressed as the equivalent to:
0 CARS TAKEN OFF THE ROAD

In 2022, our recovery and reclamation activity equate to 1,833,562 cars taken off the road. In 2023, this increased to 1,897,057.
