Cool Talks: Are You Prepared for the Changing Landscape of the Refrigerant Industry?
Industry leaders and peers came together at the A-Gas UK premises in Bristol this November to discuss best practice and the changing trends in refrigerants and recovery, in partnership with the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR).
The programme covered:
- A2L Refrigerants: What Are They?
- Best Practice: Brazing and Jointing
- Recent R404 Pricing Trends
“The event was a fantastic opportunity for service engineers and technicians to come together and discuss key issues affecting the industry and hear from experts around new refrigerants,” comments Enzo D’Alessio, Commercial Director, A-Gas UK, “By bringing this group of people together in one location we can easily share our knowledge, standards and best practice around the issues that will, or have already started to, change the industry landscape.”
The event brought around 50 peers together with senior expert representatives from the IOR, A-Gas and Cool Concerns hosting presentations.
Roger Smith, Product Manager at A-Gas examined how the industry will move to A2L refrigerants and shared best practice advice and regulations around the products. Jane Gartshore, Director at Cool Concerns presented on brazing and jointing and the standards and qualifications associated with this.
Following the event, the delegates were given the opportunity for a guided tour of the A-Gas site and an introduction to A-Gas’s state-of-the-art Rapid Recovery system.
