A-Gas Remains Compliant With NEW Proposition 65 Regulation

Today, August 30, 2018, the California Proposition 65 Regulations take effect. As stated on the Proposition 65 website:

“Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.”

A-Gas is committed to 100% compliance with environmental, health and consumer protection laws, and accordingly we have revised our information communication practices to conform to the revised Prop 65 warning format and requirements. For decades, halocarbon chemicals have generally been considered inert and non-toxic; however, certain halocarbons may contain components, manufacturing residuals or contaminants that appear on the Prop 65 list which are detectible by laboratory equipment notwithstanding that these products meet or exceed ASTM and ASHRAE purity specifications. Accordingly, you may see a California Prop 65 warning label for certain A-Gas and Rapid Recovery products on compressed gas cylinders or packaging, on our internet product webpages, on Technical Data Sheets, and/or in purchase order confirmations or other commercial documents. We believe that such communications will ensure that A-Gas products and sales will be compliant with the revised California Prop 65 regulations.
