A-Gas UK is one of only three companies licensed by the UK Environment Agency to provide a fully comprehensive refrigerant reclamation and recycling service. 
 
The service offers complete refrigeration life cycle stewardship by enabling end users and contractors to hand over responsibility for waste management to A-Gas. A dedicated fleet of reclaim cylinders utilises specialist valve technology enabling refrigerant engineers to retrieve waste refrigerants in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
 
Used refrigerant is safely returned to the reclamation facility in Bristol and is then processed using A-Gas’ own technology, resulting in very high percentage of returned refrigerants being recycled.
 
Plant equipment at the facility has been adapted in such a way as to increase productivity in an energy effective manner. Gas chromatograph technology enables various refrigerant mixes to undergo stringent analysis to establish what can be reused, thus minimising the amount of refrigerant that has to be destroyed via incineration.
 
A tolling/cleaning service for used refrigerant is also available whereby used refrigerant can be recovered from a facility and taken back to the A-Gas reclamation site for cleaning. The refrigerant can either be returned to the customer or, alternatively, can be banked with A-Gas in dedicated bulk storage vessels until required

The AU business has recently entered the environmental services business with the introduction to their cylinder fleet of reclaim and recovery cylinders. A-Gas AU then safely decants to a bulk storage tank utilising specially designed closed-loop equipment fulfilling our objective of zero emissions. This product is then returned to Refrigerant Reclaim Australia for destruction.

This enables customers to easily fulfill their legislative and regulatory obligations.
