A-Gas South Africa

A-Gas SA Cape Town plant is the largest of its kind on the African continent. Eight horizontal bulk tanks provide 500 tonnes of storage capacity serving computer controlled filling lines for a full range of cylinder sizes, cylinders are tracked with the A-Gas tracking system 'Cyltrak' which was installed during 2005. The latest technology is employed throughout the ISO 9001 quality and ISO 14001 environmental registered facility.

A-Gas SA fleet of over 18,000 cylinders and 500 tonne drums is fitted with modern valve technology to ensure ease of use and quality. Modern two-storey offices complete an impressive facility, which reinforces A-Gas SA’s commitment to the South African market.

New Portagas 116 L Disposable Cylinder
Portagas has just released its new 116 litre disposable cylinder into the Australian market.  This is the largest disposable cylinder available in Australia and offers considerable advantage over smaller cylinders such as the 58 litre cylinder:
•    Better value for end user

•    Half the cylinder change overs
•    Same footprint as 58 L and fits into standard calibration kits

•    Able to use same 58 L regulator

R22 is one of the most commonly used refrigerants in the UK. It is widely used in air conditioning units and extensively in the food industry from manufacturing and processing to food storage and transportation. The EC-wide ban of HCFC’s that came into force on 1st January 2010 has far reaching implications. Nitrogen now in Australia
Nitrogen gas is now available throughout Australia.
It is available in two popular cylinder sizes (D&E), which are lighter and easier to carry. The D size cylinders have a 10 litre capacity (1.8m3), while the larger E size holds 20 litres (3.6m3).
Available from all Airefrig, Heatcraft and Realcold branches.
