A-Gas Americas
The unparalleled growth of A-Gas continued in January, 2005 with the opening of the offices of A-Gas Americas. With a strong background in the development of next generation technologies in the areas of foam blowing, A-Gas Americas quickly has become a significant player in the US and Canadian market. A strong partnership was developed in Mexico with Comercializadora Industrial JFD SA de CV (CIJSA), and together quickly became a significant market presence in the country developing strong strategic partnerships with key system houses. In December, 2005, CIJSA was acquired by A-Gas International Holdings to cement the relationship.
As of the start of 2008, A-Gas Americas has continued its strong growth with the development of a family of next generation blowing agents, offering a variety of hydrocarbon products to the PIR, PUR, and EPS markets. A-Gas's custom blending capability has provided solutions for many in the foam insulation field where they require specific, non-traditional pentane blends. A-Gas Americas also provides the more traditional HFC’s and HCFC’s, including HFC-134a, HCFC-22, HCFC-141b and HCFC-142b. These products have gained wide acceptance in the US, Canada and Mexico. for this market, TCPP flame retardant is available from A-Gas throughout the Americas in drum, returnable IBC and bulk packaging.
Supply to the refrigeration market has seen similar growth. A-Gas Americas has developed a number of partners in the region for the supply of a wide range of products, including R-22 and HFC-134a. These products are available in a multitude of presentations ranging from single use 340g cans, traditional disposables in 1kg, 6.8kg and 13.6kg sizes, as well as in bulk isotanks.
A-Gas Americas has also made strong inroads in supply of aerosol propellants. Strong connectivity to the producers has resulted in significant sales activity in HFC-152a and HFC-134a, available in bulk isotanks. For customers located within trucking distances from Houston, TX, USA, we also have the ability to deliver in isotank using a truck with a pump mounted on it, dedicated to Fluorochemical products, in the case the customer does not have an unloading pump station at their site.
